Bio
For the last seven years Jill has been a key member
of the Air Quality Modeling effort for NRCS working closely with
scientists at Colorado State University, NREL.
Jill develops complex software applications for the WEB and GIS spatial applications
providing innovative techniques and tools. She was
instrumental in the development of the COMET-VR web interface. COMET-VR is a
highly optimized, multi process; web interface developed using Microsoft
VBScript (ASP), Microsoft SQL Server, PERL, PHP, Microsoft IIS and the Century
Soil Organic Model executable.

NRCS, ITC, GIS Programmer/WEB Programmer, Fort Collins, CO
17 years of increasingly complex and progressive experience related to
Geographic Information System/Remote Sensing and GIS application
development. Skills include raster and vector GIS, OO Design, ArcObjects,
AML, AVENUE, Visual Basic, VB script, Visual Basic for Applications,
SQL, PERL. Current efforts on the COMET-VR WEB interface include:
·
Creation of an intuitive and dynamic web application.
·
Creation of a
dynamic database application that significantly reduced the data storage and
program access time.
·
Creation of the web site design, imagery, and look and feel using HTML, XML, JAVASCRIPT, and StyleSheets.
·
Development of the database access using ASP and ADO to
collect information from the users in a series of organized steps.
·
Creation of a fully personalized ASCII and XML user report.
·
Development of an interface to the Century Server using
XMLHTTP.
·
Enhancement of the previous requirements to facilitate
reporting of the model results using XML and EMAIL.
·
Integration of the current site with the COLE forestry
model.
·
Development
of customized programs in ARC/INFO AML,
AVENUE, and Visual Basic to meet the needs of NRCS Air Quality staff and CSU
scientists that facilitate the extractions of information from a
variety of databases – outputting the information as maps or tabular databases. |
