Operating Systems

In order to experience the best that this site has to offer, follow these guidelines. These technology suggestions feature the minimum system requirements for optimum viewing.

COMET VR supports the following operating systems:

  • Microsoft Windows (95/98, NT, 2000, XP)
  • Macintosh (OS 8.5+, OS 9.x, OS X)
  • UNIX/Linux

Scripting Options

COMET VR uses javascript to determine your browser type to set style sheets to enhance your viewing experience.

Resolution and Color

For the best viewing experience, screen resolution should be at 800 x 600 pixels or higher. The minimum color bit depth should be at least 16-bit.

WEB Browsers

Generally,  COMET VR requires a DOM compliant browser.  The following WEB browsers are supported:

  • Netscape Version 4.7x +
  • Internet Explorer Version 5.x+
  • Safari Version 1.0 (Macintosh)+
  • FireFox Version 1 + (Microsoft, Macintosh)

Users with uncommon applications, such as AOL, Opera, Mozilla, etc., may experience minor differences in look and feel since all browsers do not follow the W3C guidelines to exact specifications for HTML, XML, etc.
